The NovIKrog Project

We research the circulation of waste materials

We keep researching the paths of waste materials and surplus products "from cradle to grave" in the local environment. Our goal is to discover the potential for even more efficient recycling and rebirth of waste materials.

What can I do?

What can we do as companies, public institutions, individuals, active citizens, citizens who co-create the future of our community?

Local material loops

Textile Circulation

The journey of clothes is one of the most complex systems, which was created as a result of a huge amount of discarded but still usable clothes, humanitarian purposes, opportunities to make money and attempts to reduce textile waste.

Plastic Circulation

Within the NovIKroG project, we tried to extend the life span of surplus materials from the local environment with the help of the circular green public procurement tool or close these material flows as circularly as possible.

Battery Circulation

The reuse of Lithium-ion batteries has become an important topic in recent years, as more and more people are looking for ways to reduce their environmental impact. Li-ion batteries are widely used in many electronic devices. As these devices become more widespread, so does the number of batteries that are discarded every year.

Furniture Circulation

The journey of mass-produced and cheap furniture is becoming more and more like the journey of "fast fashion" clothing. Due to the deteriorating quality, the lifespan of the furniture is getting shorter and it quickly ends up in the landfill or destruction.

Head-on against the waste accumulation

Pick-up locations for separately collected materials

As part of the NovIKroG Project, we are planning a separate collection of individual materials (with an emphasis on plastic, glass, clothing and furniture) that will prove to be interesting for the design of products for circular public procurement. We will invite companies, public institutions and citizens to participate and inform them about the locations of delivery and collection of individual materials.

We follow the 6 R Principles

RETHINK Are we creating too much waste? Let's work with people and the environment in mind.

REFUSE Let's not use materials or buy products that we don't need and that harm people and the environment.

REDUCE Let's reduce the consumption of materials and energy as much as possible.

REUSE We reuse the used item, for the same or a different purpose.

RECYCLE Let's process the material or product and make something else.

REPAIR When a product breaks or doesn't work properly, we try to fix it.
