Circular Shield helps local communities design and develop the circular model Municipal Material Cycle (MMC).
Tetra Pak packaging waste, which is separately collected by local community institutions and households, is delivered for dedicated recycling. Hygienic paper products are made from recycled pulp, which are used by institutions in the same local communities where waste tetra packs have been separately collected as a source of raw material.
MMC can be established in any municipality or city in the EU that has a municipal waste separation system in place.
