We research the circulation of waste materials

We keep researching the paths of waste materials and surplus products "from cradle to grave" in the local environment. Our goal is to discover the potential for even more efficient recycling and rebirth of waste materials.

How can I contribute to the circular economy?

What can we do as companies, public institutions, individuals, active citizens, citizens who co-create the future of our community?

Local material loops

Textile Circulation

Despite the fact that a large number of stakeholders is involved in the life cycle of a piece of clothing, most clothes are still thrown away in landfills or are destined to burn. The biggest reason for this is the deteriorating quality of clothes.

Plastic Circulation

The path of waste plastic packaging is very complex and non-transparent, as there is also completely contradictory information in popular science sources about recycling and the proportions of plastic recycling in the world and in our country.

Battery Circulation

The path of used batteries is a very relevant material loop, where the possibilities of recycling existing batteries are being developed, which is crucial for a sustainable change in the global energy system.

Furniture Circulation

The journey of mass-produced and cheap furniture is becoming more and more like the journey of "fast fashion" clothing. Due to the deteriorating quality, the lifespan of the furniture is getting shorter and it quickly ends up in the landfill or destruction.

Head-on against the waste accumulation

Pick-up locations for separately collected materials

As part of the NovIKroG Project, we are planning a separate collection of individual materials (with an emphasis on plastic, glass, clothing and furniture) that will prove to be interesting for the design of products for circular public procurement. We will invite companies, public institutions and citizens to participate and inform them about the locations of delivery and collection of individual materials.

We follow the 6 R Principles

RETHINK Are we creating too much waste? Let's work with people and the environment in mind.

REFUSE Let's not use materials or buy products that we don't need and that harm people and the environment.

REDUCE Let's reduce the consumption of materials and energy as much as possible.

REUSE We reuse the used item, for the same or a different purpose.

RECYCLE Let's process the material or product and make something else.

REPAIR When a product breaks or doesn't work properly, we try to fix it.
